Description
Located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, The Crow Collection is a permanent set of galleries dedicated to the arts and cultures of China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia. Explore the Crow Collection of Asian Art galleries while aligning Mind, Body, Heart, through Art with a certified Yogiños: Yoga for Youth® instructor. Students will explore the galleries, learning about the cultures of Asia through authentic stories, discussion, and movement. All tours meet in the main lobby of the museum and last approximately 50 minutes. Please note that touring Asian art and culture will involve discussion of Eastern customs, religions, and philosophies in order to understand the works of art. The Crow Collection of Asian Art does not promote any particular belief or religion.

Students Will
  • Students will explore the galleries, learning about the cultures of Asia through authentic stories, discussion, and movement throughout the galleries.
  • Students will discover the 8 limbs of yoga through authentic stories, music, and works of art.
  • Broaden their awareness of their place in the world in relation to others
  • Enjoy a Hands-on experience through sketching and other gallery activities
  • Place original works of art in a historical and cultural context

Scheduling / Booking
Instructions: To schedule a tour at the Crow Collection of Asian Art, please contact Katy Stewart, Education Coordinator by email at education@crowcollection.org at least three weeks in advance. All K-12 student tours require one adult chaperone for every fifteen children.
Deadline: Please schedule 3 weeks in advance.
Cancellation Policy: Tour cancellations must be made a week in advance to Katy Stewart, Education Coordinator by email at education@crowcollection.org. Changes to tours will result in rescheduling three weeks from time of contact.
After School Policy: We offer after school hours tours until 9 pm Tuesday through Thursday and until 6pm on Friday. Arrangements must be made three weeks in advance.
